NEW IN STORE FOR 2008: OFFICES, NIGHTCLUB & EVENTS
A new year is upon us again and 2008 promises to be anything but square along the 52 acres of Monongahela River known as Station Square. Here's some big exciting announcements in store for the Square this year:
New Offices to Open in Commerce Court
The most significant announcement this early in the new year is that Forest City Enterprises has signed two new tenants for the Commerce Court Building. At this point in the process we are unable to announce the names of the new tenants. They will occupy over 93,000 square feet in the building. The new office tenants will be open for business in their new home starting this fall with over 400 new employees.
Zen Nightclub Coming to Freight House
The owners of Privilege Ultralounge in the strip district will be soon opening a fresh new upscale Asian inspired nightclub called Zen in the former Palm Bar space. Watch for exciting news coming soon about this grand opening.
New Events Coming this Year
We are please to announce several new events for Station Square in 2008. Our Specialty Leasing Manager has signed an agreement for five new vendor trade shows this year including: Spring Home Show (March 28-30), Boaters Dream Expo (May 1-4), Summer Splash Health & Fitness Show (June 20-22), Getting to Know You Chamber Show (September 12-14), Toys for Big Boys (October 3-5). In coorperation with VisitPittsburgh, East Coast Volleyball, Inc and Clear Channel Radio a new and exciting event is in the works for Memorial Day Weekend to welcome over 6,000 student athletes and their families to the East Coast Volleyball Competition.
